The Story

On March 13, 2008 the Senate adopted “Remove From Table” on a voice vote, on a motion by Sen. Reynolds. The committee's amendment (0832) was adopted on a voice vote on March 13, 2008, changing the text of the bill. A floor amendment (1000), offered by Sen. Reynolds, was adopted on a voice vote on March 13, 2008, changing the text of the bill. It crossed to the House on March 19, 2008 and was referred to the House Municipal and County Government committee. The committee held public hearings on April 2, 2008 and April 30, 2008. The committee met in executive session on May 1, 2008 and May 6, 2008. The committee voted unanimously, 13–0, to recommend that the House pass it with changes (amendment 1652h). The committee's amendment (1652h) was adopted on a voice vote on May 14, 2008, changing the text of the bill. On May 14, 2008 the House voted to pass it with changes on a voice vote. On May 21, 2008 the Senate voted to reject the other chamber's changes on a voice vote, on a motion by Sen. Hassan. On May 21, 2008 the House adopted “House Refuses to Accede to Request for Comm of Conf (Rep Theberge)” on a voice vote.
