On March 28, 2007 the House adopted “Recommit (Rep Rosenwald)” on a voice vote. The committee met in executive session on April 4, 2007 to vote on its recommendation. The committee recommended that the Senate pass it with changes. The committee's amendment (1751) was adopted on a voice vote on May 15, 2008, changing the text of the bill. On May 15, 2008 the Senate voted to pass it with changes on a voice vote and ordered it to a third reading. On May 21, 2008 the House adopted “House Concurs with Senate Amendment #1751 NT (Rep Rosenwald)” on a voice vote. The bill was enrolled on June 5, 2008 — the final check of the text before it goes to the governor. The governor signed it on June 24, 2008, making it Chapter 239 of the session laws.
