The committee's amendment (0613h) was adopted on a voice vote on March 21, 2007, changing the text of the bill. On March 21, 2007 the House voted to pass it with changes on a voice vote. It crossed to the Senate on March 29, 2007 and was referred to the Senate Wildlife, Fish and Game committee. The committee held a public hearing on April 11, 2007. The committee recommended that the Senate pass it with changes. The committee's amendment (1244) was adopted on a voice vote on April 18, 2007, changing the text of the bill. On April 18, 2007 the Senate voted to pass it with changes on a voice vote and ordered it to a third reading. On May 2, 2007 the House adopted “House Concur with Senate AM #1244s, Rep Abbott” on a voice vote. The bill was enrolled on May 3, 2007 — the final check of the text before it goes to the governor. The governor signed it on May 22, 2007, making it Chapter 44 of the session laws.
