The Story

It was introduced on January 4, 2007 and referred to the House Municipal and County Government committee. The committee held a public hearing on March 8, 2007. It crossed to the Senate on April 12, 2007 and was referred to the Senate Public and Municipal Affairs committee. The committee held a public hearing on April 24, 2007. The committee recommended that the Senate pass it. On May 3, 2007 the Senate voted to lay it on the table on a voice vote, on a motion by Sen. Barnes. On May 10, 2007 the Senate adopted “Remove From Table” on a voice vote, on a motion by Sen. Burling. On May 10, 2007 the Senate voted to pass it on a voice vote and ordered it to a third reading.
