  • Term: 2005-2006
  • House committee: Education

The Story

It was introduced on January 26, 2005 and referred to the House Education committee. On February 15, 2005 the House adopted “Susp Rules for Report Deadlines” on a voice vote. The committee held a public hearing on February 22, 2005. The committee held work sessions on March 15, 2005, March 16, 2005, March 17, 2005 and March 18, 2005. The committee retained the bill, holding it for further work rather than reporting it out this year. The committee voted unanimously, 19–0, to recommend that the House kill it, and the report was placed on the consent calendar. On January 4, 2006 the House voted to kill it.
