The Story

It was introduced on January 26, 2005 and referred to the House Education committee. The committee held a public hearing on March 11, 2005. The committee retained the bill, holding it for further work rather than reporting it out this year. The committee held work sessions on September 15, 2005 and September 21, 2005. The committee voted unanimously, 19–0, to recommend that the House kill it, and the report was placed on the consent calendar. On January 4, 2006 the House voted to kill it.
