The Story
It was introduced on January 26, 2005 and referred to the House Education committee. The committee held public hearings on March 11, 2005 and March 21, 2005. The committee retained the bill, holding it for further work rather than reporting it out this year. The committee held a work session on October 19, 2005. The committee voted unanimously, 15–0, to recommend that the House kill it, and the report was placed on the consent calendar. On January 4, 2006 the House voted to kill it.
