On January 18, 2006 the House adopted “Special Order to beginning of Reg Cal of Feb 1, Without Objection”. On February 1, 2006 the House voted to pass it on a division vote 226–115. It crossed to the Senate on February 9, 2006 and was referred to the Senate Education committee. The committee held a public hearing on March 7, 2006. The committee recommended that the Senate kill it. On April 6, 2006 the Senate voted to kill it on a voice vote.
