The bill was taken off the consent calendar on March 7, 2006. On March 7, 2006 the House adopted “March 8” on a voice vote. On March 8, 2006 the House adopted “March 9” on a voice vote. On March 9, 2006 the House adopted “Special Ordered, March 21, Without Objection”. On March 21, 2006 the House rejected a motion to kill it on a roll call 121–200. On March 21, 2006 the House voted to study it after the session ends on a voice vote. The committee held work sessions on October 10, 2006 and October 24, 2006. The committee reported back on its interim study of the bill: “REC FOR LEGIS IN 2007”, by a vote of 16 to 0.
