HB 90 (2005)

relative to private driving instruction and exhibition facilities.

  • Status: Killed
  • Term: 2005-2006
  • House committee: Municipal and County Government
  • Senate committee: Transportation and Interstate Cooperation
  • Subject: Miscellaneous

The Story

It was introduced on December 1, 2004 and referred to the House Transportation committee. The House withdrew that referral and sent the bill to the Municipal and County Government committee instead. The committee held public hearings on February 17, 2005 and February 22, 2005. The majority recommended that the House kill it, and the minority recommended that the House pass it, by a vote of 14–5. On March 30, 2005 the House adopted “Susp Rules for Action Deadline” on a voice vote. On April 6, 2005 the House voted to pass it with changes on a voice vote. It crossed to the Senate on April 7, 2005 and was referred to the Senate Transportation and Interstate Cooperation committee. The committee held a public hearing on April 20, 2005. The committee recommended that the Senate kill it. On May 5, 2005 the Senate voted to kill it on a roll call 14–10.
