relative to annulment of arrest records.
- Status: Died on the table
- Term: 2005-2006
- House committee: Criminal Justice and Public Safety
- Senate committee: Judiciary
- Subject: Crimes, Criminal Procedure and Corrections
The Story
It was introduced on January 26, 2005 and referred to the House Judiciary committee. The House withdrew that referral and sent the bill to the Criminal Justice and Public Safety committee instead. The committee held a public hearing on March 11, 2005. The committee voted 10–5 to recommend that the House pass it with changes, and the report was placed on the consent calendar. On March 30, 2005 the House voted to pass it with changes. It crossed to the Senate on March 31, 2005 and was referred to the Senate Judiciary committee. The committee held a public hearing on May 3, 2005. The committee recommended that the Senate kill it. On June 2, 2005 the Senate voted to lay it on the table on a voice vote. The bill died on the table when the session ended on January 4, 2006, having been set aside and never taken back up.
