HB 607-FN (2004)

relative to the determination of just compensation in eminent domain proceedings.

  • Status: Referred for interim study
  • Term: 2003-2004
  • House committee: Public Works and Highways
  • Subject: Miscellaneous

The Story

It was introduced on January 9, 2003 and referred to the House Public Works and Highways committee. The committee held a public hearing on February 11, 2003. The committee retained the bill, holding it for further work rather than reporting it out this year. The committee held work sessions on October 8, 2003 and November 12, 2003. The majority of the committee recommended that the House study it after the session ends by a vote of 11–3, and the report was placed on the consent calendar. On January 7, 2004 the House voted to study it after the session ends. The committee reported back on its interim study of the bill: “NOT REC FOR LEGIS IN 2005”, by a vote of 16 to 0.
