relative to appropriations to the port authority for dredging projects.

  • Status: Killed
  • Term: 2001-2002
  • House committee: Public Works and Highways
  • Senate committee: Environment
  • Subject: Miscellaneous

The Story

It was introduced on January 4, 2001 and referred to the Senate Environment committee. The committee held a public hearing on February 14, 2001. The committee recommended that the Senate pass it with changes (amendment 0195). On February 22, 2001 the Senate voted to pass it with changes on a voice vote, then referred it on to the Senate Finance committee. The committee recommended that the Senate pass it. On March 29, 2001 the Senate voted to pass it on a voice vote and ordered it to a third reading. It crossed to the House on March 29, 2001 and was referred to the House Public Works and Highways committee. The committee held a public hearing on April 11, 2001. On May 3, 2001 the House adopted “Susp Rules for Deadlines on SBs due Early” on a voice vote. The committee retained the bill, holding it for further work rather than reporting it out this year. The majority of the committee recommended that the House kill it by a vote of 13–1, and the report was placed on the consent calendar. On January 2, 2002 the House voted to kill it.
