HCR 22 (2002)

encouraging multiple use management and access for future land transfers to the White Mountain National Forest.

  • Status: Adopted by both chambers
  • Term: 2001-2002
  • House committee: State-Federal Relations and Veterans Affairs
  • Senate committee: Wildlife and Recreation
  • Subject: Miscellaneous

The Story

It was introduced on June 26, 2001 and referred to the House State-Federal Relations and Veterans Affairs committee. The committee held a public hearing on January 15, 2002. The majority of the committee recommended that the House pass it by a vote of 13–1, and the report was placed on the consent calendar. On January 31, 2002 the House voted to pass it. It crossed to the Senate on February 20, 2002 and was referred to the Senate Wildlife and Recreation committee. The committee held a public hearing on March 19, 2002. The committee recommended that the Senate pass it. On April 11, 2002 the Senate voted to pass it on a voice vote and ordered it to a third reading. The bill was enrolled on April 25, 2002 — the final check of the text before it goes to the governor — and an enrolled bill amendment (3606) was adopted to correct technical errors found after passage.
