  • Status: Killed
  • Term: 2001-2002
  • House committee: Labor, Industrial and Rehabilitative Services
  • Senate committee: Executive Departments and Administration

The Story

It was introduced on February 15, 2001 and referred to the House Labor, Industrial and Rehabilitative Services committee. The committee held a public hearing on March 7, 2001. On March 22, 2001 the House adopted “Susp Rules for Deadline” on a voice vote. The committee held work sessions on April 10, 2001 and April 11, 2001. The committee retained the bill, holding it for further work rather than reporting it out this year. The majority of the committee recommended that the House pass it with changes by a vote of 12–1, and the report was placed on the consent calendar. On January 2, 2002 the House voted to pass it with changes. It crossed to the Senate on March 14, 2002 and was referred to the Senate Executive Departments and Administration committee. The committee held a public hearing on April 3, 2002. The committee recommended that the Senate kill it. On April 11, 2002 the Senate voted to kill it on a voice vote.
