HB 566 (2002)

establishing terms for the offices of administrative judges of the courts.

  • Status: Referred for interim study
  • Term: 2001-2002
  • House committee: Judiciary
  • Subject: Courts and Procedure

The Story

It was introduced on January 25, 2001 and referred to the House Judiciary committee. The committee held a public hearing on March 7, 2001. The committee held a work session on March 27, 2001. The committee retained the bill, holding it for further work rather than reporting it out this year. The committee held work sessions on May 15, 2001, October 17, 2001 and October 25, 2001. The majority of the committee recommended that the House study it after the session ends by a vote of 16–1, and the report was placed on the consent calendar. On January 2, 2002 the House voted to study it after the session ends. The committee held a work session on June 19, 2002. The committee reported back on its interim study of the bill: “NOT REC FOR LEGIS IN 2003”, by a vote of 12 to 2.
