  • Status: Referred for interim study
  • Term: 2001-2002
  • House committee: Commerce

The Story

It was introduced on January 25, 2001 and referred to the House Commerce committee. The committee held a public hearing on March 7, 2001. On March 22, 2001 the House adopted “Susp Rules for Deadline” on a voice vote. The committee retained the bill, holding it for further work rather than reporting it out this year. The committee held a work session on December 4, 2001. The majority of the committee recommended that the House study it after the session ends unanimously, 16–0. On January 2, 2002 the House voted to study it after the session ends on a voice vote. The committee held a work session on June 26, 2002. The committee reported back on its interim study of the bill: “NOT REC FOR LEGIS IN 2003”, by a vote of 12 to 0.
