The Story
It was introduced on January 25, 2001 and referred to the House Resources, Recreation and Development committee. The committee held a public hearing on February 14, 2001. The committee held work sessions on March 7, 2001, March 20, 2001 and April 3, 2001. The committee retained the bill, holding it for further work rather than reporting it out this year. The majority of the committee recommended that the House kill it by a vote of 15–2, and the report was placed on the consent calendar. On January 2, 2002 the House voted to kill it.
