relative to access to adoption records.

  • Term: 2001-2002
  • House committee: Children and Family Law

The Story

It was introduced on January 25, 2001 and referred to the House Children and Family Law committee. The committee held a public hearing on February 14, 2001. The committee held work sessions on March 19, 2001, March 27, 2001 and April 3, 2001. The committee retained the bill, holding it for further work rather than reporting it out this year. The committee held work sessions on April 17, 2001, May 2, 2001, May 16, 2001 and October 25, 2001. The majority of the committee recommended that the House kill it by a vote of 13–2, and the report was placed on the consent calendar. On January 2, 2002 the House voted to kill it.
