HB 1441 (2002)

relative to the availability of records of the joint committee on legislative facilities.

  • Status: Signed into law
  • Term: 2001-2002
  • House committee: Legislative Administration
  • Senate committee: Internal Affairs
  • Subject: Miscellaneous
  • Chapter law: 135

The Story

It was introduced on January 24, 2002 and referred to the House Legislative Administration committee. The committee held a public hearing on February 6, 2002. The majority of the committee recommended that the House pass it unanimously, 12–0, and the report was placed on the consent calendar. On March 6, 2002 the House voted to pass it. It crossed to the Senate on March 14, 2002 and was referred to the Senate Internal Affairs committee. The committee held a public hearing on April 2, 2002. The committee recommended that the Senate pass it. On April 18, 2002 the Senate voted to pass it on a voice vote and ordered it to a third reading. The bill was enrolled on May 2, 2002 — the final check of the text before it goes to the governor. The governor signed it on May 9, 2002, making it Chapter 135 of the session laws. It took effect on July 8, 2002.
