The Story
It was introduced on December 12, 2001 and referred to the House Commerce committee. The committee held a public hearing on January 29, 2002. The committee held work sessions on February 5, 2002 and February 6, 2002. The majority of the committee recommended that the House kill it by a vote of 13–1, and the report was placed on the consent calendar. On February 21, 2002 the House voted to kill it.
