The Story

It was introduced on June 26, 2001 and referred to the House Education committee. The committee held a public hearing on January 9, 2002. The committee held work sessions on January 14, 2002, January 22, 2002, January 30, 2002 and February 13, 2002. The majority of the committee recommended that the House kill it by a vote of 16–2, and the report was placed on the consent calendar. On March 6, 2002 the House voted to kill it.
