  • Status: Signed into law
  • Term: 2001-2002
  • House committee: Resources, Recreation and Development
  • Senate committee: Wildlife and Recreation
  • Subject: Miscellaneous

The Story

It was introduced on January 4, 2001 and referred to the Senate Wildlife and Recreation committee. The committee held a public hearing on February 15, 2001. It crossed to the House on March 29, 2001 and was referred to the House Resources, Recreation and Development committee. The committee held a public hearing on April 24, 2001. The majority of the committee recommended that the House pass it by a vote of 14–2, and the report was placed on the consent calendar. On May 17, 2001 the House voted to pass it. The bill was enrolled on May 31, 2001 — the final check of the text before it goes to the governor. The governor signed it on June 11, 2001, making it Chapter 49 of the session laws.
