The Story

It was introduced on February 15, 2001 and referred to the House Executive Departments and Administration committee. The committee held a public hearing on March 21, 2001. The majority of the committee recommended that the House pass it unanimously, 14–0, and the report was placed on the consent calendar. On April 5, 2001 the House voted to pass it. It crossed to the Senate on April 12, 2001 and was referred to the Senate Executive Departments and Administration committee. The committee held a public hearing on June 6, 2001. The committee recommended that the Senate pass it. On June 12, 2001 the Senate voted to pass it on a voice vote and ordered it to a third reading.
