The Story

It was introduced on February 8, 2001 and referred to the House Election Law committee. The committee held a public hearing on March 20, 2001. The committee held a work session on March 21, 2001. The majority recommended that the House kill it, and the minority recommended that the House pass it, by a vote of 13–6. On April 5, 2001 the House voted to kill it on a voice vote.
