The majority of the committee recommended that the House pass it with changes unanimously, 13–0, and the report was placed on the consent calendar. On April 5, 2001 the House voted to pass it with changes, then referred it on to the House Ways and Means committee. The majority of the committee recommended that the House pass it by a vote of 12–6. On April 19, 2001 the House adopted “Susp Rules for Deadline to Apr 26” on a voice vote. The bill was enrolled on June 26, 2001 — the final check of the text before it goes to the governor — and an enrolled bill amendment (1881) was adopted to correct technical errors found after passage.
