The Story
It was introduced on March 23, 2000 and referred to the House Environment and Agriculture committee. On March 30, 2000 the House adopted “Susp Rules for deadline” on a voice vote. The committee held a public hearing on April 6, 2000. The majority of the committee recommended that the House pass it unanimously, 16–0, and the report was placed on the consent calendar. On April 20, 2000 the House voted to pass it. It crossed to the Senate on April 27, 2000 and was referred to the Senate Wildlife and Recreation committee. The committee held a public hearing on May 10, 2000. The committee recommended that the Senate pass it. On May 18, 2000 the Senate voted to pass it on a voice vote and ordered it to a third reading. The bill was enrolled on May 18, 2000 — the final check of the text before it goes to the governor — and an enrolled bill amendment (4629) was adopted on a voice vote to correct technical errors found after passage.
