HB 1410 (2000)
relative to the joint health council.
- Status: Signed into law
- Term: 1999-2000
- House committee: Executive Departments and Administration
- Senate committee: Public Institutions, Health and Human Services
- Subject: Occupational Regulation
- Chapter law: 147
The Story
It was introduced on January 5, 2000 and referred to the House Health, Human Services and Elderly Affairs committee. The House withdrew that referral and sent the bill to the Executive Departments and Administration committee instead. The committee held a work session on March 15, 2000. The majority of the committee recommended that the House pass it with changes by a vote of 14–4. On March 30, 2000 the House voted to pass it with changes on a voice vote. It crossed to the Senate on April 6, 2000 and was referred to the Senate Public Institutions, Health and Human Services committee. The committee recommended that the Senate pass it. On April 20, 2000 the Senate voted to lay it on the table. On April 27, 2000 the Senate voted to pass it on a voice vote. A floor amendment (4253), offered by Sen. Squires, was rejected on April 27, 2000. The bill was enrolled on May 11, 2000 — the final check of the text before it goes to the governor. The governor signed it on May 23, 2000, making it Chapter 147 of the session laws. It took effect on July 22, 2000.
