The Story
It was introduced on January 5, 2000 and referred to the House Education committee. The committee held a public hearing on February 15, 2000. The committee held a work session on March 8, 2000. The majority of the committee recommended that the House kill it unanimously, 18–0, and the report was placed on the consent calendar. On March 29, 2000 the House voted to kill it.
