The Story
It was introduced on January 5, 2000 and referred to the House Resources, Recreation and Development committee. The committee held a public hearing on January 12, 2000. The committee held work sessions on January 25, 2000 and February 2, 2000. The majority of the committee recommended that the House kill it unanimously, 16–0, and the report was placed on the consent calendar. On February 17, 2000 the House voted to kill it.
