The Story

It was introduced on January 5, 2000 and referred to the House Commerce committee. The committee held a public hearing on February 22, 2000. The committee held a work session on March 8, 2000. The majority of the committee recommended that the House kill it by a vote of 17–1, and the report was placed on the consent calendar. On March 23, 2000 the House voted to kill it.
