The Story

On May 20, 1999 the House voted to pass it with changes. The bill was enrolled on May 25, 1999 — the final check of the text before it goes to the governor. On May 27, 1999 the Senate adopted “Sen. McCarley Concured W/House Amendment” on a voice vote. The bill was enrolled on May 27, 1999 — the final check of the text before it goes to the governor. The governor signed it on June 10, 1999, making it Chapter 115 of the session laws. It took effect on August 9, 1999. The committee held work sessions on September 23, 1999, October 4, 1999, October 12, 1999 and October 20, 1999.
