The Story
It was introduced on January 7, 1999 and referred to the House Commerce committee. The committee held public hearings on February 3, 1999 and March 2, 1999. The majority of the committee recommended that the House kill it unanimously, 15–0, and the report was placed on the consent calendar. On March 25, 1999 the House voted to kill it.
