The Story

It was introduced on January 7, 1999 and referred to the House Children and Family Law committee. The committee held a public hearing on February 9, 1999. On March 18, 1999 the House voted to pass it. It crossed to the Senate on March 30, 1999 and was referred to the Senate Judiciary committee. The committee held a public hearing on May 12, 1999. The committee recommended that the Senate pass it. On June 24, 1999 the Senate voted to pass it on a voice vote and ordered it to a third reading.
