The Story

It was introduced on January 7, 1998 and referred to the Senate Insurance committee. The committee held a public hearing on January 13, 1998. The committee voted 6–2 to recommend that the Senate kill it. The minority of the committee recommended that the Senate pass it. On January 29, 1998 the Senate voted to kill it on a roll call 13–11.
