HB 1500 (1998)

relative to powers of appointment.

  • Status: Referred for interim study
  • Term: 1997-1998
  • House committee: Judiciary and Family Law
  • Senate committee: Judiciary
  • Subject: Miscellaneous

The Story

It was introduced on January 7, 1998 and referred to the House Judiciary and Family Law committee. The committee held a public hearing on February 4, 1998. The majority of the committee recommended that the House pass it with changes unanimously, 15–0, and the report was placed on the consent calendar. On February 18, 1998 the House voted to pass it with changes. It crossed to the Senate on February 19, 1998 and was referred to the Senate Executive Departments and Administration committee. The Senate withdrew that referral and sent the bill to the Judiciary committee instead. The committee held a public hearing on April 15, 1998. The committee voted unanimously, 8–0, to recommend that the Senate study it after the session ends. On May 28, 1998 the Senate voted to study it after the session ends on a voice vote.
