The Story
It was introduced on January 9, 1997 and referred to the Senate Wildlife and Recreation committee. The committee held a public hearing on January 30, 1997. The majority recommended that the Senate pass it, and the minority recommended that the Senate kill it, by a vote of 4–3. On February 20, 1997 the Senate failed “Third Reading” on a roll call 10–14. On February 20, 1997 the Senate voted to kill it on a voice vote.
