SB 30 (1997)
relative to time of dog licensure.
- Status: Signed into law
- Term: 1997-1998
- House committee: Environment and Agriculture
- Senate committee: Wildlife and Recreation
- Subject: Animals
- Chapter law: 273
The Story
It was introduced on January 8, 1997 and referred to the Senate Wildlife and Recreation committee. The committee held a public hearing on January 16, 1997. The committee recommended that the Senate pass it. On January 23, 1997 the Senate voted to pass it on a voice vote. It crossed to the House on February 19, 1997 and was referred to the House Municipal and County Government committee. The House withdrew that referral and sent the bill to the Environment and Agriculture committee instead. The majority of the committee recommended that the House pass it unanimously, 12–0, and the report was placed on the consent calendar. On May 7, 1997 the House voted to pass it. An enrolled bill amendment () was adopted on a voice vote on May 28, 1997. These correct technical errors found after passage. The bill was enrolled on June 10, 1997 — the final check of the text before it goes to the governor. The governor signed it on June 19, 1997, making it Chapter 273 of the session laws. It took effect on January 1, 1998.
