The Story
It was introduced on January 29, 1997 and referred to the House Science, Technology and Energy committee. The committee held a public hearing on February 12, 1997. The committee held work sessions on February 24, 1997 and February 27, 1997. The majority of the committee recommended that the House kill it unanimously, 14–0, and the report was placed on the consent calendar. On March 18, 1997 the House voted to kill it.
