The Story
It was introduced on January 8, 1997 and referred to the House Local and Regulated Revenues committee. The committee held public hearings on January 15, 1997 and January 21, 1997. The majority of the committee recommended that the House kill it unanimously, 16–0. On February 19, 1997 the House voted to kill it on a roll call 305–41.
