The Story

It was introduced on January 8, 1997 and referred to the House Legislative Administration committee. The committee held a public hearing on January 22, 1997. The majority of the committee recommended that the House kill it by a vote of 11–4. On February 26, 1997 the House voted to kill it on a roll call 230–88.
