The Story

It was introduced on January 5, 1995 and referred to the House Science, Technology and Energy committee. The committee held a public hearing on January 26, 1995. The committee held work sessions on February 8, 1995, February 15, 1995 and February 28, 1995. The majority of the committee recommended that the House send it back to committee by a vote of 16–1. On March 15, 1995 the House adopted “Special Order to 03/16/1995” on a voice vote. On March 16, 1995 the bill was referred to the Science, Technology and Energy committee. The committee held a work session on September 20, 1995. The majority of the committee recommended that the House kill it unanimously, 12–0, and the report was placed on the consent calendar. On January 3, 1996 the House voted to kill it.
