The Story

It was introduced on January 4, 1995 and referred to the House Environment and Agriculture committee. The committee held a public hearing on January 18, 1995. The committee held a work session on January 31, 1995. The majority of the committee recommended that the House send it back to committee unanimously, 16–0. On March 15, 1995 the bill was referred to the Environment and Agriculture committee. The committee held work sessions on April 19, 1995, May 17, 1995, June 15, 1995, June 28, 1995, July 19, 1995, August 23, 1995, September 7, 1995 and September 27, 1995. The majority of the committee recommended that the House kill it unanimously, 14–0, and the report was placed on the consent calendar. On January 3, 1996 the House voted to kill it.
