The Story

It was introduced on January 3, 1996 and referred to the House Municipal and County Government committee. The committee held a public hearing on February 7, 1996. The majority of the committee recommended that the House kill it by a vote of 14–1, and the report was placed on the consent calendar. On February 21, 1996 the House voted to kill it.
