The Story

It was introduced on January 3, 1996 and referred to the House Executive Departments and Administration committee. The committee held a public hearing on January 24, 1996. The committee held work sessions on February 5, 1996, February 7, 1996 and February 12, 1996. The majority of the committee recommended that the House kill it unanimously, 15–0, and the report was placed on the consent calendar. On March 5, 1996 the House voted to kill it.
