The Story

It was introduced on January 5, 1995 and referred to the Senate Environment committee. The committee held a public hearing on February 14, 1995. The committee recommended that the Senate kill it. On March 9, 1995 the Senate voted to lay it on the table on a voice vote. On March 15, 1995 the Senate voted to pass it on a voice vote. It crossed to the House on March 16, 1995 and was referred to the House Science, Technology and Energy committee. The committee held a public hearing on March 30, 1995. The committee held a work session on April 11, 1995. The majority of the committee recommended that the House kill it by a vote of 14–1. On May 9, 1995 the House voted to kill it on a roll call 246–67.
