The Story
It was introduced on January 5, 1994 and referred to the Senate Executive Departments and Administration committee. The committee recommended that the Senate pass it with changes. It crossed to the House on February 15, 1994 and was referred to the House Labor, Industrial and Rehabilitative Services committee. The committee held a public hearing on March 22, 1994. The majority of the committee recommended that the House pass it unanimously, 13–0, and the report was placed on the consent calendar. On April 14, 1994 the House voted to pass it.
