SB 569 (1994)

permitting the checking of traps at night subject to certain restrictions.

  • Status: Became law unsigned
  • Term: 1993-1994
  • House committee: Wildlife and Marine Resources
  • Senate committee: Wildlife and Recreation
  • Subject: Fish & Game
  • Chapter law: 51

The Story

It was introduced on January 5, 1994 and referred to the Senate Wildlife and Recreation committee. The committee held a public hearing on January 13, 1994. The committee recommended that the Senate pass it with changes. On March 10, 1994 the Senate voted to pass it with changes on a voice vote. It crossed to the House on March 17, 1994 and was referred to the House Wildlife and Marine Resources committee. The committee held a public hearing on April 6, 1994. The majority of the committee recommended that the House pass it unanimously, 11–0, and the report was placed on the consent calendar. On April 14, 1994 the House voted to pass it. The bill was enrolled on April 21, 1994 — the final check of the text before it goes to the governor. It became law without the governor's signature on May 2, 1994, as Chapter 51. The governor neither signed it nor returned it, and the docket records it as enacted under Part II, Article 44 of the state constitution.
