relative to licensing of certified public accountants.
- Status: Killed
- Term: 1993-1994
- House committee: Executive Departments and Administration
- Senate committee: Executive Departments and Administration
- Subject: Occupational Regulation
The Story
It was introduced on January 7, 1993 and referred to the Senate Executive Departments and Administration committee. The committee held a public hearing on February 11, 1993. The committee recommended that the Senate send it back to committee. On February 17, 1993 the bill was referred to the Executive Departments and Administration committee. The committee held work sessions on October 6, 1993, October 20, 1993 and November 3, 1993. The committee recommended that the Senate pass it. On February 3, 1994 the Senate voted to pass it on a voice vote. It crossed to the House on February 15, 1994 and was referred to the House Commerce, Small Business and Consumer Affairs committee. The House withdrew that referral and sent the bill to the Executive Departments and Administration committee instead. The committee held a public hearing on April 6, 1994. The majority of the committee recommended that the House kill it by a vote of 11–1. On May 5, 1994 the House voted to kill it on a voice vote.
