The Story

It was introduced on January 7, 1993 and referred to the Senate Environment committee. The committee held a public hearing on February 11, 1993. The committee recommended that the Senate pass it with changes. On February 16, 1993 the Senate voted to pass it with changes on a voice vote. It crossed to the House on March 10, 1993 and was referred to the House Resources, Recreation and Development committee. The committee held a public hearing on March 31, 1993. The committee held a work session on April 1, 1993. The majority of the committee recommended that the House send it back to committee unanimously, 13–0, and the report was placed on the consent calendar. On April 13, 1993 the bill was referred to the Resources, Recreation and Development committee. The committee held work sessions on May 11, 1993, August 25, 1993 and September 29, 1993. The committee met in executive session on October 27, 1993 to vote on its recommendation. The majority of the committee recommended that the House kill it unanimously, 16–0, and the report was placed on the consent calendar. On January 5, 1994 the House voted to kill it.
